Riding the Waves My recent photos tell the story. Lots of powerful emotions like the thunderous surf along the shores of Hams/Caves Beach. No surfers out amongst that while so much energy is causing such a commotion. I wouldn't want to be on the bottom of some of those rollers dumping along the shoreline. In comparison, I am feeling the enormous flow of energy generated around the world over recent weeks, causing unrest within me - and perhaps you? How have I dealt with that mix of emotions, having been quietly biding my time for weeks turning into months - trying to manage my personal energy between restraint, while in lockdown, and then to face a surge of emotions by humanity across our planet? I had thought that I was cruising along pretty well for most of that time, even after the groundswell of reaction to fateful events in my birth land that raised deep, longstanding issues, brought into the spotlight for healing. That during the health pendemic and financial disaster ...

Greetings! Welcome to Blog #10 The occupant of No. 10 Downing Street during WWII, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, was known for clever, quotable quips. He apparently said : " Never let a good crisis go to waste ". So in appreciation of his wisdom, during this time of 'crisis' like no other in history, it is a great opportunity for me to be creative - both getting things done and doing nothing - beyond contemplating. . . in balance of course - ha! My favorite place to simply relax and to solve some of the problems of the world (as well as consider my own probs), is in the bath. It's also a great place to let some of those real or imagined issues go down the drain. Settle in up to my neck in hot water; a symbolic place as well not unfamiliar to me. Occasionally I am awoken surrounded by a cold, wet envelope  - the heat having gradually dissipated in my oblivious bliss. One night last week I set a new record for me. The frigi...

Tiptoe-ing Through the Mind-field of Stress Greetings once again - and so soon already! I hope you are well in body, mind, and spirit. I've always been fascinated by human and animal behavior. Can't help it - just am. The lockdown of people over recent weeks across the planet to deal with the current pandemic is a golden opportunity for me to observe so much about our incredible world. While we humans are restricted, wildlife everywhere is literally running wild with new life! Nature is thriving in the unprecedented sudden absence of humans with their machinery, cars, planes, and ships. Animals seem to be responding with great curiosity, venturing forth from their normal protective habitat into the domain of humans with the lack of interference to their sense of adventure. It may be somewhat bewildering to them, but there appears to be a sense of enjoyment coming from them! An enormous pod of dolphins has brought much-needed smiles to people's faces in Bronte, in...

Cable Beach sunset 2018 Broome, Western Australia  Hi - I hope you are going well! Our world never stops changing, but the passage of time and events can be so varied . . . or at least seem that way to each of us. After weeks of restrictive movement virtually everywhere due to the global pandemic, we are now wondering, "How long will this situation last, and what will be the lasting effects?" The old Sufi saying, "This, too, shall pass", seems appropriate. The outcome? Well, let's just wait and see rather than worry about all the possibilities. In 2000 I was diagnosed with having Post Traumatic S...

Greetings! Welcome to Blog #7  Here is a terrific description/explanation of what I was trying to briefly express in Blog #5 about the mechanics and ramifications of stress/trauma on our well-being. Thank you Dr. Joe Dispenza for providing this information for all! Article in Dr Joe's newsletter 18 April 2020 Homeland Security and Boosting Your Immune System With Love: Part 1 The role of the autonomic nervous system (meaning “automatic”) is to automatically regulate your body’s physiology by mobilizing various chemical and electrical signals to different parts of the body. All of these vast biological functions that create inner balance and homeostasis are occurring behind the scenes of your conscious awareness. Because these infinite biological actions are not regulated by your conscious mind, it makes sense that it’s your subconscious mind (the mind below the conscious mind) that’s running the show. The multitude of health-related functions—from ho...

Greetings! Happy Easter to you! How synchronistic is Easter at this particular time on the calendar and current events across our planet? Easter - the symbol of Hope and new beginnings after the pain and physical death of Jesus. I live in constant hope . . . of brotherly love and peace worldwide. In spite of the bleaker image of the picture presented to us daily, I am seeing encouraging signs of positive changes. A time of stopping, considering, and creativity. I am sensing that my life-long dream is now potentially stretching out towards a greater degree of fulfillment as we fill in our time contemplating our lives and values. There appears to be much happening in positive ways in the global community likewise with many creative endeavors. Like it or not, things are changing! Let's be honest. Ho...

G’day! What a few days in my world! And yours, as we are all on this incredible planet together amidst the incredible beauty - and the sudden contrasting eruption of chaos! It’s as if the Master card dealer has thrown the deck of cards into the air which must be picked up off the ground and reshuffled. Earth seems to be spinning faster and faster as news of events and new social regulations constantly hammer home the message of a health and financial situation which is affecting us all, either directly or indirectly! The resulting stress could easily confuse us, like the deer on the road at night in the previous blog, paralyzed by the headlights of the oncoming car.   The uncertainly of this global situation, caused by its volatility, intensity, and speed, has caused widespread confusion and fear. The immediate emotional reaction we may feel is a natural response of self-preservation. It has been a shock for most people, which can cause stress and develop into ten...
